Amazing staff. Fantastic service and great food for when you don’t want to leave the room.
The location is perfect. It is close enough to everything so that we could walk everywhere, but also it was far enough that we didn’t have to deal with the noise and the crowds.
The gardens were lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. We really liked the hair and body products as well.
We went to the spa every day. Our masseuse was perfect and the spa was very relaxing, clean and nice.

My wife and I spent a week here at the beginning of May. The staff are excellent, friendly and attentive. Camille especially deserves praise for the way she goes the extra mile to ensure any food or drink is to your liking. The cleanliness of the room was amazing throughout and the garden at the back of the hotel along with the spa is a perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Florence. The free mini bar with soft drinks and snacks along with a free afternoon tea each day are great little touches and the daily breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choices on offer. It is a 10 minute walk to most of what Florence has to offer and also 10 mins from the main train station. Great location to explore both Florence or jump on a train to visit Pisa or Rome.

We stayed here recently during our stay in Florence. Everything here was as expected if not better.
Location is central. 13 minutes to the station and 10 minutes to city centre.
Rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom and the necessities were refreshing.
The spa was a wonderful addition and a great way to relax and refreshen up before going out again. Shout out to Leviana.
The staff from the front to everyone else was so friendly.
If I ever come back to florence,I’ll be sure to stay here abain.

The location of Palazzo Castri is convenient for exploring Florence, and the property itself is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Our stay was overall very good, and the hotel was quiet. The gardens also seem like they would be beautiful in warmer weather.
That said, the experience felt more functional than special for us. It has more of a standard city hotel feel—busier and less personalized than what we typically prefer. If you’re planning to spend a lot of time across the Arno, you may want to consider a more central location.
One important detail to be aware of: in our standard room, the bathroom had a pocket door with frosted glass panels that were not fully opaque. You could see into the bathroom and shower area from the room, which made privacy limited. Even as a couple, this felt a bit uncomfortable at times. We were told this design is consistent across rooms, so it’s something to consider—especially if traveling with a friend or family member.
Our room faced the inner garden, which made it very quiet—we were able to sleep with the windows open. I’m not sure that would be the case for rooms facing the street.
Overall, this is a solid hotel that served its purpose well—it just wasn’t quite the style of stay we personally gravitate toward.
